Half animal and man in my shambling frame
I ache toward the open doorway;
Wounded and wronged in my make-believe flesh,
Blazed and amazed by a million teardrop eyes,
My every ear alert to illumination
In the star-flying dark and flak daylight--
I hunch against the wind of forever come.
