The Crimson Bower

      Somehow this minute's perrenial gift
Twirled lost between delivery and drift.
      Somehow life's crimson bower
      Witheld the summer's dauntless power
5     To sing and strain unsullied
Note to note in holy love allied.
"O jeweled ruling impulse of this life,
Sacred presence in scorning emerald repose
Serrating heavens in rosaries of light,
10    Out of one controlling heart explode
Carillions of blissing affection, pure moves
Of this tonsured heart's obeying resolves
      A tameless faithing conscience imposes,
Out of my moment's soulless rock exhaling roses!"
